Dena Pett-Hudson

Dena Pett-Hudson is a third generation dog trainer and
exhibitor who got her start in dog training at age eight through the 4-H
program with her family’s Bouvier des Flanders.
By nine she had her own puppy, a long hair Dachshund,
and began showing him in AKC events where she earned their CD and CDX
titles and also advanced through the Jr. Showmanship ranks.
Additionally, she participated
in cat showmanship and obedience.
Bit hard by the show bug, Dena stayed in 4-H until she was 19,
becoming a Jr. Leader for her 4-H club’s dog training program.
After graduating, she continued showing
in AKC where she titled a variety of breeds
including a Bulldog, German Shepherd and Standard Poodle and also
competed successfully with horses in eventing and dressage.
Dena is currently competing with a Boxer named Maddux and a
Standard Wirehair Dachshund named Barney.
She competes in obedience and
agility and is training them for all levels of tracking and is showing
Barney in the breed ring and, when time
permits, in earthdog and field trials.

Jasmine
Lyon

Jasmine has been involved in the world of dogs (training, showing,
exhibiting) since she was 5 years old. She grew up training and showing
Rottweilers. She has since loved and been owned by many dogs…including
Boxers, Samoyeds, Schipperkes, Border Collies, a Parson Russell Terrier
and a Wirehaired Dachshund, and all have or had confirmation and/or
performance titles.
Jasmine first got involved in agility in 1994, when
she started training her Boxer, Patty. She has since competed in AKC
agility trials all over the Southeast with a variety of dogs, from small
Dachshunds to large German Shepherd Dogs, each with their own learning
and competing style. She regularly attends seminars and training classes
with her own dogs and competes in approximately 15-20 shows per year.
Jasmine’s current furry herd includes 2 Border
Collies (Emma – 14 & Ian – 10), a PRT (Radar – 6) and a Standard
Wirehaired Dachshund (Serra – 3)…and since she is active in Border
Collie Rescue, a foster dog can usually be found at her house as well.
